About Us
We began in 2017, recognizing an urgent and unavoidable calling to serve young teenage men across the Washington metropolitan region. These young men have long been among the most maligned, forgotten, misunderstood, and underserved. Yet even in those early years, we knew the seeds of our work were falling on good soil.
Often we would meet for breakfast, pray, and walk into the facility with one scripture anchoring us: “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend” (Proverbs 27:17, NKJV). We saw with clarity that the harvest was abundant and the workers too few.
In time, we learned that iron is not only sharpened, it is molded. And molding requires men who are called, steady, teachable, and courageous. Men willing to sharpen each other as they shape the lives of young brothers who have been overlooked and left without guidance.
From that conviction, The FORGE was born. And out of The FORGE emerged a vision to build a network of men who grow in skill, character, and spiritual strength as they lift up, inspire, and mentor the next generation.
FORGEnet.org is the instrument for this mission. We lead men two by two into facilities that have too often forgotten the value of their most precious treasure: their children. We go with humility and boldness, trusting Christ’s words that “the laborers are few” and believing that God still calls workers into the field.
We are called to the fire. We are called to the work. We are called to be molded and to mold others.
Welcome to FORGEnet. Where iron is molded. Where men are formed for purpose.
